The Padre who runs the Albergue turned the lights on at 0640 and kicked us all out at 0800 after a breakfast of toasta and café. As the Albergue was on a hilltop we immediately went downhill only to re-ascent.
The pain level in my left leg was very low and gave me hope of a quick recovery. Again it was mostly country roads thru farmland and it seemed somewhat endless.
Our first coffee stop brought us a laugh as a small heard of cows meandered through the town. JL caught it on video w the herding dog letting one cow stray.

The ups and downs were all caused by streams finding there way to the ocean and the higher elevations associated with the coastal cliffs. There was a survival work out camp as we peaked the 100m climb into Colombres that was deserted.
Looked like quite the test and included a zip line. We originally planned to stop here and we should have as at this point I was completely pain free. But I pushed for us to go one in hopes of making the next couple of days easier. Mistake! About 3k later intense pain returned and still 5k to go. Only time will tell how this all works out.
For now we are in a nice Albergue and have enjoyed a pilgrims meal with about 15 walkers.
