walking day 3

Walking Day 3 - Zarautz to Deba - 24k

Well sorry to report uploading of photos still not working.  We are trying to fix this but it may take time on the home pc.
So the day began with coffee and toast at  0700 at a local bar and then on the Camino at 0720.  We chose to walk the Coast which gave us a chance to walk 4k along crashing surf and spray before entering Getaria a small fishing village with a ice man made harbor.

We stop for coffee, then it was up, up, up then down, down, down.

The scenery was a mixture well maintained working farm land with big homes and barns, stunning ocean views, and green forests.  All of this reminded us of what our walk in France might have been like in a dryer time.  Our 1st down brought us to Zumaia, another port town with man made break water, a large yacht marina and a medium size ship building facility.

We stopped for our 3rd cup cafe con leche we which later agreed was providing us with too much milk.  Then it was up, up, again that turned into steep hill and dale until we arrived at Deba.  We had to wait at a local topas bar until the municipal Albergue opened.  It was above the local train station and 5euro ea.
